Bring a piece of authentic Parisian history into your home with this exceptional pair of original French shop doors, dating from around 1900. Sourced from Paris, these impressive glazed doors have retained their original crackled paint finish, antique glass, and decorative ironmongery, making them a remarkable example of early 20th-century French craftsmanship.

A particularly rare feature is the original brass plaque reading "La Quincaillerie Centrale – Paris" with the inscription "Ouvrez – Le Ferme-Porte J.L. Fermera" ("Open – the door closer will close it"). This original plate advertised the automatic door closer installed on the doors and is a wonderful surviving detail from the Belle Époque period.

The beautifully aged layers of paint have developed a natural craquelé patina over more than a century, while the original espagnolette locking mechanism and hand-forged hardware remain in place. The large glazed panels allow plenty of light to pass through, making these doors ideal for use as interior feature doors, a room divider, a conservatory entrance, or as part of a bespoke cabinet or architectural restoration.

These doors have not been over-restored, preserving all the character and authenticity that collectors and interior designers value so highly.
